New F10 5 Series ActiveHybrid

AnyM are pleased to confirm the introduction of a new addition to the BMW 5 Series model range as well as the first BMW ActiveHybrid model to be launched in the UK, the new BMW Active Hybrid 5.

This model, based on the 535i SE Saloon and its N55 306hp 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo petrol engine combined with a 54hp electric motor and Lithium-ion battery, is the most powerful and efficient hybrid in its class and represents a significant step towards the long term BMW EfficientDynamics strategy of emission-free mobility. With a combined consumption figure of 44.1mpg and a CO2 output of just 149g/km with 17” alloy wheels, the new ActiveHybrid 5 combines 535i acceleration performance of 5.9 seconds 0-62mph with a BIK tax rate of just 19%.

The ActiveHybrid 5 is visually differentiated from the 535i SE with the exclusive availability of Bluewater metallic paintwork included in the colour palette and optional 18" light alloy Streamline-style 364 alloy wheels as well as“ActiveHybrid 5” designations on the C-pillars, an aluminium plate on the centre console and front door sill finishers. Furthermore, the model receives a bespoke ActiveHybrid engine cover, chrome kidney grille with chrome-fronted and chrome-sided vertical slats, matt chrome tailpipes and an “ActiveHybrid Power Unit” inscription on the battery housing located in the boot. Production starts in January 2012 at BMW Plant Dingolfing in Germany.
