Confirmation Of The New MINI Roadster

We are pleased to confirm the details of the sixth MINI family member, the new MINI Roadster:

The new MINI Roadster offers all the sporty driving character of the MINI Coupé with the added allure of featuring a semi-electric soft-top roof which can be opened or closed in a matter of seconds. The engine line-up is identical to the MINI Coupé to ensure that the new MINI Roadster offers a stimulating driving experience whatever the occasion. Practicality is still very much a key focus point with a luggage capacity of 240 litres (just 40 litres less than the MINI Coupé), a through-loading hatch with additional storage compartments behind the seats and underneath the boot floor also feature as standard.

As part of the extended level of standard equipment offered by the UK market, the new MINI Roadster will feature a semi-electric soft-top roof as standard. It should be noted that in the rest of the world a manual soft-top roof will be standard, with the semi-electric variant being a cost option.

MINI Roadster Model Variant Coding
The new MINI Roadster will be designated the R59 variant coding.
